Skellig Michael Landing Tours – 2026 Season Now Closed

The Office of Public Works (OPW) has officially closed Skellig Michael to visitors for the remainder of the 2026 season. As the OPW manages access to the island and monastic site, no further Skellig Michael Landing Tours can operate this season.

Our Skellig Islands Eco Tours Are Still Running!

While landing on Skellig Michael is now closed for 2026, our Non-Landing Skellig Islands Eco Tours remain open and will continue to operate until the end of October, weather and sea conditions permitting.

These tours travel around both Skellig Michael and Little Skellig, giving visitors the opportunity to experience the spectacular islands, wildlife and scenery from the boat.

Eco Tour bookings for the remainder of the 2026 season are available now.

Planning to Land on Skellig Michael in 2027?

Bookings for our 2027 Skellig Michael Landing Tours will open in November 2026.

Landing places are limited and demand is extremely high, particularly during the peak summer months, so we strongly recommend planning ahead and booking early once reservations open.

Skellig Michael non-landing tour

The office of Public Works (OPW) have come to the conclusion that it is not possible to open Skellig Michael for visitors safely this year and therefore have taken the decision to stay closed for the 2020 season.

We have opened up the Skellig Michael Landing tour bookings for the 2021 season .

Customers now have the option to move bookings to 2021 season or email us to arrange a refund.

We will however be operating our Skellig Michael non-landing eco tours from July 20th once the travel restrictions have been lifted.
